  14. Congratulations to Melissa d’Arabian, the Next Food Network Star!
Melissa really came a long way over the 9-week season. She went from being the “harried housewife” to a confident home cook. Her pilot was polished and interesting.
The other finalist, Jeffrey Saad, also did well and produced a great pilot. He’ll probably have a show on Food Network in the near future.
My new favorite Web site, Food Network Humor, did a live-feed chat during the finale. The comments are hilarious!
I hope Melissa does well in her new role as a TV show hostess/chef. Her first show will air in a week.
